Mathilda Banks is a qualified counsellor registered with the BACP, and an out-and-proud transgender woman.

She specialises in supporting clients with anxiety and depression, and brings kindness and compassion to her work.

At the heart of her practice is a belief that lasting healing and change begins with acceptance. Not resignation, but the willingness to meet ourselves as we actually are, and to extend the same generosity to the people around us.

Much of our suffering comes from the effort of fighting what we feel or hiding who we are. When that struggle softens, people often find they are freer to move towards the life they want.
